An interesting thing happened the other day.
I received an email from someone asking if I would feature a promotional video for a new book by a well-known author on my Greatest Hits blog http://greatesthitsblog.com (one of his books is already on there).
I said it was possible, and asked for a copy of the book to see what it said. He couldn’t send me one, he replied, because he only worked for an SEO agency. Nor did he have the video for me to look at.
I said I couldn’t endorse something without knowing what was in it. He then offered me the rather strange sum of $70.
All in all, a strange business. If it was any good, I would have done it for free, just like every other book on the site.
Which raises the question: when is apparently free endorsement actually paid for?
